Potable water is water that has been purified of harmful pathogens that could cause disease such as dysentery.
Clean water can be found as bottles in various locations or reclaimed from toilets and basins.
Unsafe water can be purified by treating it with water purification tablets or by boiling it on a fire.
Boiling takes 20 game minutes per half liter (.13 gal). The same amount of purified water will boil away after about 30 minutes.
