Overview
Lockpicking is the art of unlocking a lock by manipulating the components of the lock device without the original key. You can do this at any safe that you find in The Long Dark world.
How to Lockpicking
When you find a Safe, go next to it and Left-Click it to enter the interface.
After you open it, you need to get the correct number of the tumbler. To do this move the disc using left or right.
- For the first tumbler the disc needs to be rotated counterclockwise.
- When the first tumbler is unlocked, the disc has to be rotated in the opposite direction, clockwise.
- After unlocking the second tumbler, rotation direction is changed again to counterclockwise.
- A moment after third tumbler is unlocked, the Open -button will appear and you can press it.
If the right moment is missed, the lock picking to be started again by rotating the disc counterclockwise. After the safe is opened, it won't require lock picking anymore.
