Forlorn Muskeg was the sixth region to be added to The Long Dark. The region is mostly flat, composed of craggy hills surrounding a main area of frozen ponds and lakes. Bisecting the ice is a broken railway line connecting on the east to Mystery Lake through the Rail Tunnel (formerly the 'Tunnel Collapse'), on the west to the Broken Railroad region and to Mountain Town on the north, from Marsh Ridge. There are only a few shelters; the main one being the Old Spence Family Homestead, which contains a bed, a workbench and a forge. Forlorn Muskeg is the second region of The Long Dark to contain a forge.
