Curing is the process by which natural resources from animals and saplings are prepared for use in crafting. To cure an item, it must be placed on the floor indoors (which includes large caves and certain man-made structures without a loading transition, e.g. the Stone Church and Mountaineer's Hut). The time taken to cure an item is fixed, and doesn't depend on temperature.
