Broken Railroad is the seventh region to be added to the game. The region connects to Forlorn Muskeg at one end of the rail line.

Broken Railroad includes several discoverable locations.

- Hunter's Blind
- Hunting Lodge

- Maintenance Shed
- Maintenance Yard
- Locomotive Engine
- Rickety Foot Bridge
Trivia
- In previous versions, the winding path with a wooden footbridge was inaccessible, except by scaling the rocks. Since Rugged Sentinel, it is now accessible by continuing through the upper ridge of the region (to the right side).
- There is an anchor point leading down into the ravine found in the top-left corner of the region. When in the ravine, you are likely to find a rifle, 1 rifle round, a corpse, ravaged wolf carcass, lots of food, cattails, and 2 dead deer carcasses. Also if you look down when on the Broken Bridge, you will see 2 firewood bins that can be searched and are most likely to contain wood. Remember to bring an Emergency Stim in order to not get stuck in the ravine. (EDIT) There is a ledge 1/2 way up climb to rest at, did not need stim.
- As of the Rugged Sentinel update, Broken Railroad has not yet been completed, and will likely get expansions and new locations in a future update.
Rickety Foot Bridge was inaccessible in previous versions, but can now be reached by continuing through the right side of the upper ridge of the region.
